Electrical Design Engineer, APAC Substation Design Engineering

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Electrical Engineer to become part of a world class engineering team to lead the Electrical design of our Data Center Substations across our rapidly expanding Asia Pacific Basic qualifications: - 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience - 4+ years of commissioning experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities - Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities - Experience in commissioning - Bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering or equivalent, including a minimum of 5 years of substation design experience. - 4+ years of Experience developing design documentation (plans, specifications, etc) for construction and/or permitting. - Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance - Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities - Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment - Experience with design or construction administration of a variety of electrical distribution systems ranging from low voltage to high voltage Preferred: - Professional Engineer License - Experience with building codes and regulations for your region - Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production - Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents - Professional Engineering or Architectural License - 3+ years of experience directly related to substation design supporting data center or mission critical facilities. - Solid understanding of critical data center electrical equipment. - Possess leadership and problem solving skills. - Be a motivated, highly dependable individual.
