Amazon Web Services is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead a team across North America and Europe building systems for cooling, power, telemetry and monitoring, and operational visibility Basic qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 10+ years of software development experience • 10+ years in senior engineering leadership roles • 10+ years experience driving long-term engineering and product decisions • Track record of delivering innovative cloud-based applications • Proven ability to hire and develop an inclusive organization • Experience scaling diverse, highly dynamic, and fast-growing technical and product teams Preferred: • Experience building software systems for the devices, sensors and control systems domains. • Experience solving customer and technical problems with durable, scalable solutions over multi-year, multi-billion dollar, and multi-organization impact. • Desire and ability to inspire and influence at all levels. • Experience driving complex, cross-organizational projects Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
