Delivery Consultant - Database Migrations and Modernization, AWS Professional Services, ASEAN

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to Basic qualifications: - Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies - Database Internals & High Availability: Deep understanding of database internals (memory, I/O, storage) with expertise in Oracle (RAC, Data Guard, ASM) and MSSQL (Always On, FCI, Log Shipping) - Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proficient in Oracle performance tools (AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Profiles/Baselines) and MSSQL optimization (Query Store, Execution Plans, Columnstore/Filtered Indices, Wait Stats) - Database Migrations & Modernization: Experienced in version upgrades (Oracle 12c→19c, MSSQL 2016→2022), cross-platform migrations using AWS SCT and DMS, and legacy to open-source modernization (Oracle/MSSQL → PostgreSQL/MySQL); Strong background in database security including TDE, auditing, and fine-grained access control - Software Engineering & Distributed Systems: Extensive experience in large-scale software development with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript), proven track record in designing highly available distributed systems, and expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, code reviews, testing, and deployment management Preferred: - 5+ years of IT implementation experience - Previous experiences as Software / Solution Architect, Lead Architect or similar role. - Experience in architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform. - Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies and migrations - Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience - Prior consulting experience working directly with customers and partners.
