Practise the Decom Tech, ADC InfraOps Decom at Amazon Data Services, Inc. interview free →The Decommissioning Team is responsible for processing and facilitating large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure that targeted equipment is ready to be removed off Basic qualifications: - 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience - 1+ years of computer networking experience - High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+ - Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred: - Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure - 1+ years of data center experience - Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems - Decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware out of the data center facilities, unpacking/repacking fragile electronics, and relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment - Hard drive installation and removal, and destruction and basic Networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations - Previous experience working on IT equipment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, building computers, troubleshooting PC/Desktops/Laptops) and previous experience migrating and decommissioning of data center assets a plus Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
