Data Centre Security Manager, AWS

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS Data Centre’s Basic qualifications: - Significant experience in security management in a professional environment (e.g., critical infrastructure, data centres, corporate security, or government). - Proven experience working in a regulated, high-security, or compliance-driven environment. - Ability to handle confidential information with care. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects across multiple workstreams, delivering outcomes that raise security standards or mitigate risk. - Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously across multiple locations and manage competing priorities effectively. - Experience identifying gaps in security technology or equipment and leading evaluation/ implementation of solutions. - Strong understanding of governance frameworks, version control, and document lifecycle management. - Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to distil complex operational processes into clear, concise, and actionable documentation. - Demonstrable knowledge of physical security best practices to include but not limited to; application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, management of contract security guards, incident management and the ability to apply operational best practice to the development of procedures, standards, and process documentation. - Excellent stakeholder management — comfortable engaging with operational teams, senior managers, guard force vendors, and compliance bodies. Preferred: - Experience managing physical security operations in a data centre or critical national infrastructure environment. - Track record of leading security improvement projects end-to-end, including technology assessment and implementation. - Experience with security documentation audit methodologies and process standardisation at scale (multi-site or regional). - Understanding of security management systems (CCTV and access control & alarm management). Experience with the LENEL Access Control & Alarm Monitoring System is advantageous. - Experience with project/task management tools (Asana, JIRA, or similar) for tracking workstreams. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPP/PSP Certification Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
