Corporate Counsel, Japan Operations Legal

Amazon Japan Legal seeks an experienced attorney to support our rapidly growing transportation business in Japan, with a primary focus on the last mile delivery business. You will advise the business on Basic qualifications: - Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a leading university and law school. - Licensed to practice law in Japan or other jurisdiction. - Approximately 5+ years of legal experience (with several years of experience at a leading global law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation). *Candidates with fewer than 5 years of experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on their relevant experience and language skills. - Native Level Japanese and Business Level English (ability to communicate orally and in writing, draft agreements, and negotiate in Japanese and English). Preferred: - Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Experience managing projects and working independently. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - The successful candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
