Business Analyst III, Relay Product Excellence

We are looking for a strategic, self-directed Business Analyst III to join our team. In this role, you will independently own complex analytical workstreams, define the analytical strategy for key programs, Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units - 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks - Experience managing competing priorities and using metrics to drive business decisions - Experience with data processing needs and trade-offs - Experience with advanced analytics - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science, or experience working in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) - 7+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience - 5+ years writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Quicksite, Power BI, or similar tools - Proven ability to assess risks, clear blockers with right resources, and escalate when appropriate - Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in new technical tools and languages Preferred: - Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field - 5+ years of equivalent experience - Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R) - Experience in machine learning, statistics, and deep learning - Experience with SQL and Python scripting - Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature - Experience escalating issues, anticipating and making trade-offs, balance the business need versus other constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences - Experience in transportation and supply chain - Strong background in statistics methodology, applications to business problems, and/or big data - Experience designing and developing automated data pipelines and sophisticated analytical modeling - Experience with data management tools including Hadoop/Hive, Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL databases - Expert at applying complex transformations within spreadsheets, SQL, or other tools to generate recommendations - Experience performing peer reviews for others within organization - Demonstrated ability to distinguish between one-way and two-way doors in decision-making - Experience partnering with technical experts (Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists) to apply advanced analytics - Proven track record driving operational excellence through improving, streamlining, and/or eliminating excess process - Experience identifying process or methodology gaps and partnering across teams to drive to closure - Wide multi-domain knowledge and expertise with ability to lead end-to-end delivery of simplified solutions - Considered analytical leader on team and expert in synthesizing business knowledge and data across wide variety of subject areas - Knowledge of optimization techniques and their application to business problems Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
