Builder - Mobile (Platform), Ring

As a Builder on the App Platform team, you'll write the iOS Basic qualifications: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - 3+ years of professional software development experience building mobile applications - 3+ years of native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) development using modern tooling and architectural patterns — or 3+ years of production React Native (or comparable cross-platform) experience with working knowledge of the underlying native platforms - Hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks (SwiftUI/UIKit, Jetpack Compose, or React Native) and modern concurrency patterns (Swift Concurrency, Combine, Coroutines, async JS) - Solid understanding of mobile fundamentals: app lifecycle, memory and performance, networking, persistence, and testing - Experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests, and working within a CI/CD pipeline Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Working knowledge of both iOS and Android platforms, or experience bridging React Native with native modules - Experience adopting AI-powered development tools (AI-assisted coding, test generation, code review, debugging) in real production work - Experience contributing to shared libraries, SDKs, or platform components used by other teams - Experience with performance profiling and optimization on mobile devices - Exposure to streaming video, real-time communication (WebRTC, HLS, RTSP), or connected device protocols (Bluetooth, local network) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
