Automation Engineer, BRS1 RME

As an Automation Engineer, you’ll make sure that our automated systems are working at Basic qualifications: - Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment, or experience working with electrical and mechanical conveyance systems - Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on material handling equipment (MHE) and automated conveyor systems - Experience dealing with material handling, flow and capacity visualization and monitoring - Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming for Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys PLCs - Experience with Ignition SCADA or a similar platform and Human Machine Interface (HMI) - Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies - Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards - Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above - Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems - Experience developing MOPs and SWMS for planned works, or experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred: - Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field - Experience implementing and enforcing safety standards within warehouse and maintenance environments - Experience leading change in a multiple site environments - Experience managing engagements using both Waterfall and Agile/Iterative methodologies - Experience with Six Sigma, or analytical and process improvement techniques Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
