Art Director, Amazon

éShop Creative Studios is seeking a visionary Art Director to join our Tokyo studio, where you will establish and scale creative direction across multiple content production workflows including photography, Basic qualifications: - • 5+ years of design experience with an online portfolio demonstrating visual direction and production quality - • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) - • Experience establishing branding guidelines, visual standards, and creative direction at scale - • Experience overseeing creative production and post-production workflows - • Experience with stakeholder management and presenting creative strategies to leadership - • Knowledge of general AI tools and their application in creative production - • Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) Preferred: - • Experience in e-commerce, catalog-scale, or high-volume content production environments - • Experience using data and metrics to measure creative quality and production impact - • Experience creating process improvements, automation, or scalable creative frameworks - • Knowledge of Japan market aesthetics, cultural design preferences, and consumer expectations - • Experience defining standards for AI-generated or automated creative content• Experience with UX design principles and customer experience optimization - • Experience mentoring or developing creative talent in a structured environment - • Comfort working in ambiguous environments and leading initiatives from concept to scale - • Experience coordinating with Product, Engineering, or Technology teams on tool development - • Exposure to Virtual Production, or emerging content technologies a plus Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
